urgess Hill Drain Unblock – Failed Gully Installation & Fat Build-Up Resolved

At Pro Drain Experts, we recently attended a property in Burgess Hill following reports of slow drainage and surface water pooling around the patio area.

🔎 The Problem

On inspection, we found:

❌ Gully pot incorrectly installed

❌ Concrete surround failing and breaking away

✅ Removal of fat build-up from the gully trap

✅ Thorough flush-through to restore full flow

✅ System check to confirm free-running discharge

Flow was fully restored the same day, preventing further backing up and potential property damage.

Although the blockage has been resolved, a permanent repair is required to prevent recurrence. We will be returning to:

🔧 Re-launch and re-concrete the gully surround

🔧 Correct the outfall of waste pipes into the gully pot

🔧 Ensure correct falls and secure discharge

🔧 Reinstate surface area properly
